Guyabano Leaves - A Healing And Weight Loss Wonder?

Indeed, is Guyabano leaves a healing and weight loss wonder? Consider this. A month
ago, I wrote a post about a teacher in our place who  boils Guyabano leaves and uses the
boiled water after it cools down as her drinking water. Her purpose then as she confided
to us when she asked for leaves from our Guyabano tree was for her renal problem and
for slimming purposes.  She further revealed at that time that her practice of using the
cooled boiled waters with Guyabano leaves had remarkably helped in reducing the fats in
 her abdomen.

Actually, I did not take it seriously then. But when I saw her again the other day when she
requested  to ask for another  fresh supply of leaves, I was surprised to see her wearing a
casual shirt tucked in a midnight blue pajama jeans. The plumpness of her body seemed to
have vanished replaced by a slender one, making her look younger  and smart.  "Wow"  I
commented and congratulated her right away for her looks.

It seemed however, that the  news about her use of boiled Guyabano leaves water as her
drinking water had turned many teachers at her school as adherents to her practice  because
of her new figure. Our family soon realized that although this is a welcome development
as our Guyabano trees can now help cure the illnesses of people, and also provide for a way
to make them lose fat, the supply of leaves from our Guyabano trees might prove
inadequate if a lot of people will be asking for them since we freely give them out.

In this respect, we now have begun regulating the free giving out of our Guyabano leaves to
sick people who need them most. We also have helped several people here in the Philippines
who sent us emails requesting for leaves which we sent to their respective addresses through
cargo forwarders for free and for which they only shoulder the delivery charges.

Regarding the effectiveness of drinking the waters from boiled Guyabano leaves for weight
loss I think it might be because of the cleansing and anti oxidant  effect it has particularly in our digestive system. With regards to the so many reported cured cases of cancer and other related serious illnesses that are posted in the Internet  and reportedly cured through drinking the water from boiled Guyabano leaves, a scientific research conducted  in1976 by the National Cancer Institute showed that Guyabano's leaves and stems were found effective in attacking and destroying malignant cells.

Further. a scientific research on Guyabano that resulted in the publication of a report in the Journal of Natural Products, pointed to a component of Guyabano scientifically known as Annona Muricata was discovered to selectively kill colon cancer cells at 10,000 times the potency of Adriamycin, the most commonly used chemotherapy drug. Importantly, it was discovered that aside from targeting cancer cells and killing them it leaves healthy cells untouched.

Can you imagine that? Guyabano is indeed a healing and weight loss wonder because it is unlike chemotheraphy which indiscriminately targets all cells to include healthy ones including stomach and hair cells thus resulting to nausea and hair loss. A devastating side effects really, for those who submitted themselves for chemotheraphy.

No wonder then why several people I know who are cancer sufferers are now boiling Guyabano leaves and drinking the waters as a way of curing their illnesses. And just recently, a study at Purdue University found that Guyabano leaves is very effective in killing human cancer cells and is most effective in attacking and annihilating  prostate, pancreatic and lung cancer cells.

Make Boiled Guyabano Leaves As Your Drinking Water

Is it alright to make boiled Guyabano leaves as your drinking water?  As I mentioned in my previous post, a school teacher when thirsty, drinks water from her boiled Guyabano leaves. She said it cured her renal problems thereby saving her money from a scheduled medical check-up which is now very costly. She also believes that her practice of drinking the water from boiled Guyabano leaves  is the reason why she is now more active in her daily task at home or at school and more important her, belly fat which she says is a  problem to look at, is now slowly but steadily reducing, making her fellow female school teachers envious of her now new body form.

Regarding her cured renal problem, we believe her as boiled Guyabano leaves is known to cure subject illness. But weight loss, I was in doubt at first until several of her fellow teachers and friends who asked us leaves from our Guyabano trees told us so, the reason why they are here to ask for the leaves they will also use for their own drinking water.

A Glass Of Water From Boiled Guyabano Leaves

As related to me, this is the procedure on how to go about using boiled Guyabano leaves for their drinking water.  First, select 40 healthy leaves and clean them on both sides. After the selection and cleaning, proceed to boil 6 liters of drinking water. For exact measurement of the water volume, you can buy  a 6 liter mineral water sold in various grocery stores and use it for boiling.  You can use it for your first try after which you can just use ordinary tap water to save on cost.

Upon boiling, place the Guyabano leaves  and be sure to close the opening of the boiling water container securely. The purpose is to trap the  the beneficial elements of the Guyabano leaves in the water vapor from escaping.  Boil for not less than 5 minutes but not more than 10 minutes.  Let it cool for several hours before transferring it into a container for drinking.

If you plan to boil 3 liters of water you can use 20 leaves but still, the desired number should be 40 leaves. Also, be sure that the color of the boiled water should be dark grey like the picture above of a glass of water from boiled Guyabano leaves.

We have several fruit bearing Guyabano trees in our backyard and aside from our relatives, people would ask us for their leaves.  We had been sharing the leaves of our Guyabano trees for people who are sick. An uncle who has been  constantly suffering from abdominal pain   preventing him from personally managing his business is now so happy that he no longer suffer the pain in his stomach, a week after drinking boiled Guyabano leaves every morning.  Profusely thanking us, he then asked for a Guyabano fruit so that his family can prepare a blended Guyabano juice drink and plant the seeds on their  backyard to have their own Guyabano tree.

Guyabano fruit is nice to eat and very healthy to the body. Most of the time however, we  blend the fruit and add sugar to make it more tasty with several crushed ice.  A ripened Guyabano fruit has a sweet and sour milky taste with delightful fibery texture. And just like itsthis is  leaves, it helps your body fight off diseases like high blood pressure or hypertension, diabetes, cancer and lately, it has been considered as a good alternative to weight loss. The importance of  Guyabano had made us decide to plant more Guyabano seedlings in our backyard.  Below is a picture of a Guyabano seedling we are about to plant.

A public school teacher whom we had been giving Guyabano leaves for several months now had told us how her urinary problem normalized with the help of Guyabano leaves which she boils and uses as her drinking water whenever she feels thirsty at home or at school. She further revealed that the Guyabano water that she drinks not only made her more active but also made her consume less food  as she always feel full thus shedding away her body fats.  Finally, she told us if we could spare more leaves as several of her co-teachers who wanted to lose weight will be coming over to ask for leaves they will also use. This is how I personally experienced the health benefits of Guyabano Tea Leaves.
